Poverty of Spirit

February 28 @ 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
$55.00

Using the German Catholic priest and theologian Johann Metz’s book Poverty of Spirit, this retreat will look into the
meaning and significance of ‘poverty of spirit.’ We will examine the importance of the themes of Incarnation, the
various shapes of poverty, and especially what it means to become human as the essence of true spiritual poverty.
God wants us to be rich, but this spiritual wealth only comes through poverty of spirit!

Presenter:  FR. ANGELUS ECHEVERRY, OSB, has been a monk of Valyermo since 2011. He has a Master’s degree in Classical Music Composition and is currently an Organist and Choirmaster.
